God in the Dirt !

god in the dirt !

Wondered the Fool in My Heart….

Gita said this!? Right ?!

When I lose the visibility of karma thus….

Hey! I will shoot that crow down. Seeing that dirty thing on my bike, my mind bursted out. It seemed like the leg of a big crab with flies hovering all over. My brains choked with anger upon the dirty crow which dropped this mess. I took a dried leaf and with big disgust, pushed the dirt away to the ground. I felt relieved to get some tissues from my bag and did a thorough cleaning of the seat.

As I saw the dirty thing lying on the ground a sense of pity and grief struck me. The painful death of the crab and its strewn apart leg….

Let I regain the visibility of karma thus….

A puppy which came running from somewhere gave a swing in the mood. As it looked into my eyes, my heart felt light. It sniffed all over the ground and Oh! it took that dirty thing in its mouth. Gave a few bites and gulped it. The puppy turned around and looked into my eyes again. This time I felt a rare gleam in it’s eyes. My mind went blank for a while. I felt it was the God which got into its gut just now, who gleamed through its eyes. The big disgust; by now turned into a big repent and then prayer.

I believe…. food speaks no less loudly than God. Let hunger hit me for two days, not by will but by chance. Thus when my gut gets so emptied and a dizziness start filling in my head, a serving of the food feels high above the God.

And let I find my master in anything thus….

The little creature went on sniffing the ground here and there and gave a glaring look twice or thrice. The last time it pounced it’s little paws on my bike and gave a close look into my eyes. This time I felt that it had something to say. I could make it out …. “When all of us could execute our karma with such calm, what from the heaven cooks up your mind. That too, with little reason.”

I could feel…. the rage I felt on the crow dissolving in the air around. I no more felt pity for the crab. Even the feelings for this little dog blacked out. Total spell bound! It took me a while to come out of it. Felt thousands of thoughts flashing through my mind. As a boy, I used to be in awe, thinking about Arjuna:, the warrior who could only see the eye of the bird he aimed at, nothing else in the universe for that while. When I grew up, I was in awe of his fortune to get Gita straight from the master.

I asked him whether the moments which unfolded just now is something which Gita speaks on. He replied just embrace Gita to know it. But beloved Arjuna:, let me  just savor the Gita in Sanskrit. Let me learn the Sanskrit then Gita. I wish to embrace Gita with the same elan you had.

Then might the message of Gita starts to unfold simplified as this!….

The Gita’s Message Simplified …. Touch the Image…. 🙂

(Courtesy to Sri. Devdutt Pattanaik and other astute artists behind this.)

Till then I wonder if the God would gleam thus, now and then, here and there. So I could keep my karma poised.

Mr. Ramesh Vyawahare whom we call with reverence Ramesh Kaka is the author of narration of Gita: ‘Ashi Samajhili Gita’. Kaka thanks for approving thus….

why NET NEUTRALITY is My Prime Right

I know it…. Just let me Voice….

Net Neutrality
Let My Net be Neutral

Still I found myself confused; is there so much wickedness in what I’m going to receive. I put myself in a satirical situation to check what is this all about. On that Sunday, I took out my scooter and went out for a long drive to feel the mild chill of the early dawn. After a while I came across the fuel station and thought, let my fuel tank be full. As I rolled in, the new display pierced into my eyes. Part of it read….

Vehicle Application Price
Scooter No load ₹66.69
Scooter Single ₹76.69
Scooter With Pillion ₹96.69

Simply baffled, I asked the tender; WTF! He replied; Sir, Just as the display says, the FUEL IS NO MORE NEUTRAL. We are going to tap in more revenue from the fuel you buy, in terms of how extensively you are going to Apply it. I felt simply raging while telling; ridiculous but how are you going to know what all I’m going to do with my Scooter. His answer sent my head stirring. “The fuel you filled last time was already bugged, it keeps us updated on all the ‘where and how’ of your scooter in real time”. As this was fuel station I frequented, I felt like blasting out, but did in silence; “now you shove that pump in your as* h*le, fill that bugged fuel and ignite it”. I left there. I could no more feel the mild chill of the morning. I was just in the search of another fuel station. All that I could feel within was that perhaps I won’t be able to RIDE MY SCOOTER FREELY, as I used to. After getting into the fourth fuel station, run by the third different vendor, I came to know, they jointly have shoved the bugged thing in my as* h*le. I’m igniting it each time I kick start my scooter. By now the vroom of the vehicles all around felt like yelling at me, “FUEL IS NO MORE NEUTRAL”.

Now if my kirana shop-keeper takes a cue from all this and say the RICE I purchase IS NO MORE NEUTRAL. And it is bugged to keep on telling the story of its journey as, boiled rice / dosa / chakli through my digestive track till the sh*t h*le. So Saab; we are going to charge you differently for it, in terms of how luxuriously you are going to Apply it. I could only say is WTF (What’s The Fun :-)) going on….

Freedom for DATA
Freedom for DATA

These situations are hypothetical but are clear extensions of the how the telcos have messed up with the NET NEUTRALITY. But, this is same thing what is going to happen with the Data Pack which I’m going to refill the next time! They are going to bug/leech me, to get extras out of my pocket. Now, is this all about the violation of Net Neutrality. No. This the the violation of the Neutrality of Net at second degree. If telcos are allowed to charge me based on the application (Apps I use 🙂 ) of Internet, the violation of Net Neutrality at first degree will naturally follow. Telecos will accelerate the applications which generate revenue for them and put breakers on the others. Imagine, I am searching for India in Google and it takes a full 1 minute to get the result on my 3G connection! Otherwise you will have to pay for the Google search!! By then I would have surrendered all the Freedom of my Data. And the Net will be forced; not to consider all Data to be Equal. Net will lose its Neutrality.

Cause for more fear is TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India), supposed to be savior of the cause of Net Neutrality,  presumed to speak from us, the common man; seems to be partnered in this violation!! Otherwise why they need such a complex survey to stop this atrocity.

I’m not going to stop.

I am joining to stop this invasion on the Freedom for DATA…. I am going to….

Respond hard to TRAI about this. (24th April 2015 is the deadline they have set!)

Alternate Method of Farming a

(Configuration Management Data Base)

You are given a Will!

With this your four member family become the owner of the 10 Hectare land. But there is a condition the 10 Hectare should be flourished with 1000 variety crops! Don’t worry…. You know 1000 people who are expert in growing these 1000 type of crops!! Again there is a but…. These 1000 people are spread across 1000 different places. Again a flip, these 1000 people come to meet you at least once annually. Now there are two Methods in which you can opt to farm the 10 Hectare:

Method 1. You four reach the 1000 people get the seed, expertise and start the farming. The advantage is the farm can be flourished theoretically within in the least time…. in 1 year…. perhaps in 6 months or even in 3 months.

Method 2. You wait for the year for the 1000 people to visit you. They will bring with them the seed, the expertise and mostly the willingness to extend a hand to do the farming. Now the pain is that it will take at least 1 year for a total begin.

With many of it’s advantages, the clear choice is Method 2. And practically this approach will only ensure a flourished, green 10 Hectare of your farm down the line.

While using the CMDB, it felt to resemble to a multi-crop farm which seeds, cultivate and flourish the Business Services Info! So the analogue of this multi-crop farm found to be best to begin with the explanation of the alternative method of farming CMDB.

From the experience of managing HP UCMDB together with HP Open View suite for the last 5+ years, it has been learned that applying Method 1 doesn’t give a coverage of the Configuration Items (CIs) beyond a specific level, rather to an acceptable level. This happens in spite of spending indefinite amount of time. Since the last 5+ years the small family, the operators of CMDB collect the information about the CIs of nearly 2000 Business Services from 1000 people in tits and bits to farm the CMDB. This always lead to barren patches in spite of employing cumbersome efforts. Instead it often resulted even in the failure of the cash-crops; ie configuration info of critical Business Services of financial implications 🙂

Let us get into bit technicals of the HP Open View suite. If UCMDB is the back-end of the suite, Service Manger is the front-end. Service Manager consumes the data from CMDB. For the last 5+ years CMDB has been federated to Service Manager in one way as follows.

The Alternate Method (Method 2)

Now let us consider in detail the Alternative Method (Method 2), to farm the CMDB which lead to an excellent degree of consistency.

As the first step, I am defining a procedure which will involve the 1000+ people who can help in farming the CMDB in a clean way. The existing Service Manager will have few additional check-boxes for the validation of the seeds, the Host CIs (Configuration Items) in all of the Change forms. Thus all changes happening in the environment initiated by 1000+ Business User will lead to a dynamic table, let me call this Business Service Registry (BSR) (Guidelines for the BSR is stated at the end of this article). Now BSR will be a dynamic index of Business Services with the bare essential information about the Business Services and related CIs.

Within each and every change itself, each BSR info will undergo a 3 level verification with the additional check-boxes.

Business User > Business Manager > System Administrator

The entry of info into the BSR will happen only after the 3rd level verification of System Administrator.

Next step is to federate the Service Manager to UCMDB the other way.

Now unique rows of BSR will be seeded to CMDB to build the functional CMDB (fCMDB). This will give the sprout of each business service. The discovered CIs from the raw CMDB (rCMDB)will be attached to the sprouts and will be flourished into the functional CMDB (fCMDB).

Area of non-compliance
Area of non-compliance

This mechanism will also work as the base for IT infrastructure compliance.

Method 2 - Excellent Delivery
Method 2 – Excellent Delivery

When done by the Method 2, the seeding of the 10 hectare land is going take it’s own sweet time, around one year. But even the Method 2 can seed the CMDB in 1 week, very comfortably within 1 month! Direct the 1000 Business Users to log dummy changes just intended to consolidate the BSR. Further only the routine changes will keep on dynamically updating the BSR.

Periodic seeding and weeding of the CMDB with BSR will ensure a green flourished CMDB.

A clean and green CMDB

Guidelines for BSR

BSR should contain bare essential info for seeding the CMDB. Too many people feeding too many info will lead to anomalies in long run. BSR is the most critical as it is contains the seeds for the functional CMDB (fCMDB). Typically BSR may read like:-

CI Type a. Host – Servers

APM ID, User-Manager <=Hostname=> IP Addresses, OS, Flavour, Version

CI Type b. Host – Databases

APM ID, User-Manager <=Hostname=> IP Address, DB, Flavour, Version, Instance, Port

Note: Business Services should be represented only by APM (Application Portfolio Manager) ID, not by their name. If ten people call a Business Service, they do it atleast in 4 different ways. (Finacle Customer Request Management, Finacle CRM, FCRM, CRM are all one and the same. This leads to undesired redundancies in BSR and CMDB too.).

Keeping the BSR very lean, the additional Business Service specific config information can go into an extension of BSR called BSRX. This includes Environment (Production/Non), Type (App/Web/DB), Business Service specific server resources like the specific file directory, specific server-service etc. This will be just under the purview of the Business User and the Business Manager.

A Limitless Year

A Year of Limitless Possibilities….

Limitless Possibilities

“Avan rakshapettu”(he escaped)…. I was so happy to hear this phrase with such crispiness. This was the the reply from my son, when the I told “avan poyi”(he went). Our evenings include a mortal combat against mosquitoes. And there is specific reason for this revenge.

Of-course I too understand this isn’t exceptional from a 2 year old, though it is good. But for me, I preserve a reason to be so happy and proud. Karma’s face keeps on proclaiming…. we are full of possibilities not limitations. 2014 cleared all the doubts, I had been nesting for a while.

All this while the world around us had n number of doubts upon him…. I think it started with: Hasn’t he turned over on his stomach…. Why don’t you try flipping him on stomach…. I asked them, like a dosa on the tawa! Young guy, you are already one year old and haven’t you started sitting upright! Born in Dec 2012, for him 2013 was a year of many many unanswered questions, from all around.

Though I worried a lot about this, I stopped giving mindful ears to these rattles long back. Karma was nearing his first birthday. He couldn’t manage to sit upright then. With so much nagging, I decided to take the advice of his doctor. The doctor asked one question, whether the boy crawl backwards. Our answer was, no. He straightaway referred Karma to a rehabilitation centre. The sudden prescription of the doctor baffles me even now. Of-course many of them out there just TREAT situation or disease not THE PERSON.

My mind was blank which kept on switching; whether or not. Any how we reached there. Please mind, I didn’t have any disgust on the less fortunate little ones we met there. I was on the way to office that day and had a constrain of time. The place was crowded and the receptionist told…. getting a quick appointment is difficult. With all those physically challenged buddies sitting around, we too had little interest in jumping the queue. The receptionist told that I could do a registration paying Rs.500 and she would help to get a prioritised appointment.

Half-minded, I filled the form and went to the counter to pay the fees. Karma was in my arms. I took the wallet out of my pocket and pulled a note of Rs.500. In fraction of seconds he flipped the note from my hand and gave a smile, looking at my face. The smile felt like a flash of a million possibilities between the scores of limitations being projected from all around. His gleaming face seemed to be shouting “TRUST ME!”. My decision too flipped in no time. I took the note back from him with a smile and slipped it back into my wallet. I thanked the receptionist and said that we might return at a later time and left.

The first thing I did as I reached home…. I tore the form I filled…. certifying… possibly my son is a physically challenged.

In the autumn of 2014 Karma learned to sit upright. Later when he started to crawl on his knees, we proudly told his grandma. The immediate question was. “Are you still crawling. When are you going to walk upright! You are too slow for your age.” I was driven out of my mind. I decided to keep the pleasures of his future milestones be just with us.

Time literally flied in 2014! That is what I feel when I look back and remember how much things Karma has squeezed into it. In the second half of 2014 he started walking upright and by now he can communicate his needs in 3 languages…. Malayalam…. Marathi…. Hindi…. I am often put in awe when he says something to his Amma (mother) in Marathi and soon translates into Malayalam when he find her confused! My real surprise was, against the predictions of many, he pushed his limits staying the whole day in the two room flat attended only by his care-taker….

Jit & Karma
Jit & Karma

A welcome note to 2015 for all…. Let it be a year of many many possibilities over few many limitations.

Young parents of new-born babies, wish if you would return to this page as I will be updating this with few charts and info. I found them very informative and soothing in the times of great confusion. Your experiences as comments will be highly appreciated as it might become a bright ray of hope to a parent in a time of utter confusion.

A letter to my nephew Gautham….

And all of my little Friends….

15 August 2014 053234 GMT+0530

15 August 2014

My beloved Achu,

Your father is poor. Hey you got so angry hearing this. Please don’t let this stop you from reading further.

Now myself, your uncle is much more poor. There is a good reason for telling you so.

One thing that will definitely bring your anger down is a book with the title “Rich Dad Poor Dad” written by the American author Robert T Kiyosaki. I have asked your father to get a copy of the book for you with a condition that you will be paying the price of the same within a year. Don’t worry. Myself and your father will help you to earn that money.

When ever I hear something from you, I remember a lot about my childhood. At your age I too was so fascinated by the block-bluster formula E=MC2. To me it sounded good because it held the link between two worlds, one of the matter and the other of the energy. It always sounded like blasting with the limitless energy. I neither comprehended the validity of the formula nor did it give any practical blast in my very life. Of course I always adore the man behind it as you do. Einstein continues to be my most favorite hero even now. It always felt that he always stand so tall among us for what we human beings take special pride in doing. Imagination….

As you, when I was in school, worked with one particular formula in and out numerous times. I=PNR…. As for you, it brought me some good marks in the exams as I had the skill in applying this with various combinations. As I left the studies the formula went into my faint remembrance.

Much later I got into what we all call; the struggle of life. With all this struggles what I found, it is the state of being poor rather poorer which is the very cause of struggle. I had been so moved by it that I started to think about the other side, being rich. You see, I am in no way a rich man, but I am in the pursuit of richness.

path-to-financial-freedom2During this journey, the good old forgotten formula I=PNR took some vibrant form in my mind. Somehow I started feeling that the formula I=PNR have a capacity to blast like E=MC2 creating ripples of richness.

I wondered if the little ones like you could have a nice feeling about knowledge of, how learning we receive enriches our life, how the technology we learn can be used beneficial to us, how being rich gives us a different level of freedom and so on…. I feel the Imagination of you all can be nothing less than Einstein’s!

As I wished you could make your first steps in learning some of these valuable ways of life, I have asked your father to open a Savings Account in your name with the State Bank of India. You should have an amount of Rs.7840 in that account. You should use the entire pocket money for this. I have asked your father to give you the remaining amount.

8 August 2014 150451 GMT+0530

With this money we are now going to work with an interesting combination of I=PNR which will pay back Rs.2/- (<– Click Here) everyday to your Savings Account. Let us create 7 SBI JIT UNIT FD (7 X Rs.1120))one each on the seven week days (Sunday, Monday,…. Ask your father what is all about the interesting factor in this combination. He being a banker will be able to explain it more clearly to you. By the end of the year your Rs.7840/- will produce Rs.730 (Rs.2 X 365), ie. working daily creating Rs.2. From this you should pay back the price of the book to your father! By this time you would have read the the book few times!! This will be your first step in the game to the next level of freedom, Financial Freedom!!!

At this point you should notice a factor. You should dream as much as you can with the amount remaining from Rs.730. I recommend you to buy a good inexpensive book with YOUR money. But let a good part of that money be with the money. This is an important part of getting rich. A good part of the MONEY you earn should COMPOUND TO MONEY you have.

You remember I told you I=PNR blasts with ripples of richness. All rich people around the world fundamentally use this formula to build their riches, but with their own modified versions. As you grow up and explore the way to richness you too will learn them and will come across your own versions.

15 August 2014 061313 GMT+0530

Gauri, please don’t feel sad. Your bright smiling face was as much there in my mind when I was writing this. You too should tell Achan that you too want to try and learn these factors. But don’t ask for another copy of the same book my dear 🙂  so that you will be richer than your brother by the next August 15th . All of the Rs.730 will be yours 🙂

I will feel extremely happy if you could “Leave a reply” to me stating some of the learning you got this way like: the interesting nature of PNR, functioning of a bank account etc.

You have a puzzle to solve in this activity which makes I=PNR to I>PNR, what I call the jitfactor. Your father will help to solve this.

Let freedom fill inside you and outside you….

Your uncle….

Your frown costs Rs.600 Million. Stop that frown….

It takes a frown to loose 600 million Rupees!

22 June 2014 052554 GMT+0530

It was an uptown journey in the city service. You were sitting two seats affront of me. I didn’t notice you at first.

The bus-conductor came from the rear end of the bus. I handed a 10 Rupee note and two 50 Paise coins as I knew the ticket for my journey costs Rs. 11. The conductor took the same with a frown. I thought my hair as happens at times was not combed for the whole day and ran fingers across. Any how he gave me the ticket and went ahead.

After few minutes when an argument started, I noticed you, being in the centre of it. There was a Big frown on your face. From your talks I came to know that you were on a journey worth ticket Rs. 9 and you were least happy with the two 50 paise coins which you got as the change from conductor. Your face said, he has put something rotten in your hands. The conductor was trying to convince you that 50 paise was still in circulation and from the distance gave a frowned look at me again. Ah! my hair style was not that messed as I thought and it was the 50 paise coin I gave, in the centre of the mess! Sorry that I didn’t reach you then.

With all those frowns at me, my mind was set on a wild trip. The few frowns I saw, turned into thousands, millions and billion plus in no time. We the billion+ Indians. All frowning at the humble “Aat Ana” (50 paise)!

You know, people of my generation used to be proud to have an “Aat Ana” in pocket, 25 years back. Then one 5 paise coin could fulfill some of our childhood wishes, like a candy of the favourite flavour, an ice stick from the street vendor etc. ….. Back to the billion plus frowns. Along with this, the thoughts of a recently read news from the Times of India, titled “End of the road for 50-paisa coins?“, my mind escalated a macro scale of economics. I began with the sweetener of my childhood, the most humble, squarely shaped 5 paise. They are no more a part of our economy, but are part of the history, rather forgotten history. They received the unpleasant frown long back and were recalled from the economy. Though by now obsolete, I did an arithematic on the bargaining power of the so humble 5 paise on the macro scale of economies. I considered a bargain of just one 5 paise on just one essential amenity, a kilogram rice or 1 kilogram sugar or 1 kilogram onion etc. For 1.2 billion of us, it will compound to Rs. 60 million! Definitely, we had been missing much bigger bargains when we killed the 10 paise, the 20 paise and then 25 with our frowns…. Now by the time we kill the 50 paise, with our repeated frowns, we stand to lose Rs. 600 million for just one basic deal, a kilogram rice or 1 kilogram sugar or 1 kilogram onion ….. !

22 June 2014 053528 GMT+0530

These figures aside, it should be interesting to know how long it will take for our frowns to turn to the next candidate, Re.1! In a time span of 30 years we have brought down the denomination of Re.1, Rs. 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 ….. to that of Paise 10 , 20, 50 ….. What a “neck breaking” pace of growth!

Shall I prove that literally it happened so!

I was on a vacation, at my village in Kerala. One day just to feel the air of the nearby town, I got into an uptown bus. I felt so amused by the latest ticket fare. It took me on a time travel, 25-30 years into the past. Now the ticket costs me Rs.9/- and got 1 Re. return for the Rs.10 I paid. Back in the mid of 1980s, during my school days, the ticket used to cost 90 Paise and used to get 10 paise return when I pay 1 Re. In less than 30 years Re.1 has devalued to 10 Paise, literally. Yes! There are no more 10/20/25 Paise around! IT IS SURPRISING THAT THE POOR GOVERNMENT IS JOINING HANDS  IN BARBARIC HUNT AGAINST OUR OWN CURRENCY.

What I can do is hold that frown against the humble 50 paise coin and accept it with a smile. Each smile, smiled on each occasion, accumulates to Rs. 600 million time and again. AND APPEAL TO SAVE AND RETAIN THE PRIDE OF OUR Re.1, BY SOME HOW RECALLING IT HUMBLE COUSINS TILL THE DENOMINATION OF 10 Paise INTO OUR ECONOMY.

Earn 10% from your Savings Account! 10% !!!

Your Savings Account can simply give 10% return!

31 May 2014 124804 GMT+0530

Don’t compromise for the mere 4%

Yes! I am talking about you Savings Account not the Fixed Deposits!

One Sunday morning in this January of 2014, when I was going through an old edition of Economic Times, an advertisement of a nationalised bank, reignited the Saturday’s train of thoughts. A spark came to my mind, which I felt could solve yesterday’s riddle. I asked my wife, who was busy in the kitchen, to share her calculator and pen for a while.

(Note: I published this post on 31st May 2014. Then SBI used to pay interest of 7.5% for the term of 1 week. Since 18th July 2014 they pay 7% interest for the same term. The post needs to read further accordingly.)

There is an agreement with me and my wife, she be the care taker of our savings and myself of the investments. It always pinched me that the chunk of money I kept in my Savings Account ready for investment, earned just 4%, where as her savings in Fixed Deposits earned nearly 10% consistently. Now in the Saturday evening when I was going through my SBI’s internet banking login, their 7.5% interest rate on the deposit for a term of 1 week and the feature off e-Fixed Deposit put a smile on my face. When tested it, found to work perfectly as I expected. It auto renews in a week, paying back the interest to my Savings Account. I myself can make them and break them within few seconds. Now my money in wait time can return 7.5%, but much below the iconic 10% return.

Back to the Sunday morning. In few moments I felt like raring to go. The “calci” and pen were in front of me! I am very thankful to my wife. She is rarely offensive to my cranky ways. I scribbled some quick combinations of I = PNR on the Economic Times, to reach a magical figure for P as I have little control over the other factors, I=Max Return, N=7 Days and R=7.5%.

IMPORTANT NOTICE (26 December 2014):-

SBI has been continuously revising their interest rates for Domestic Term Deposits during the second half of 2014. On Mon 2 Dec 2014 came the latest revision. They now pay an interest of 5% pa. for a term of 1 week.

As R (Rate of Interest) has changed, the magical value which the P (Principal) hold is Rs.1565 now. Please read and apply the factor accordingly. BREAK ALL YOU “SBI JIT UNIT FD” AND REMAKE THEM WITH THE NEW P (‘Amount’ in you e-Fixed Deposit form). THE LATEST INTEREST EARNED FROM “SBI JIT UNIT FD” IS 6.7 % PA.

IMPORTANT NOTICE (19 July 2014):- The above notice overrides this notice.

From yesterday (Fri 18 July 2014) SBI revised their interest rates. They now pay an interest of 7% pa. for a term of 1 week. Akash I am so thankful for your comment in my blog. I simply loved the timing! I can’t expect anything more from a reader.

As R (Rate of Interest) has changed, the magical value which the P (Principal) hold is Rs.1120 now. Please read and apply the factor accordingly. BREAK ALL YOU “SBI JIT UNIT FD” AND REMAKE THEM WITH THE NEW P (‘Amount’ in you e-Fixed Deposit form).

Dear takers of “SBI JIT UNIT FD”, though the interest rate has declined, the return from the factor has not declined!…. You get Rs 105 annually from each Rs.1120 you deposit. This is way more than 9% and less than 10% pa. As this is my pet blog – the first blog, with your permission, I am taking the privilege to keep the other contents of the post unchanged.

Now the magical value of P which my calculations revealed was Rs.1050. Straight away I tested it by trying to create few e-Fixed Deposit with the SBI account, with some variations of P and found the perfect value for P is Rs.1050 as expected. It gives an interest return of Rs.2 to my Savings Account in 7 days. Now 1 year has 52 X 7 days, I mean 52 weeks. That means A return of Rs.104 in 1 year from Rs.1050! Now for those who are dogmatic about the Re.1 which makes the return just short of Rs.105, the iconic return of 10%. Consider the interest on the Rs.52, that I got into my Savings Account in the first 6 months, at 4% per annum. I get additional Rs.1.08 for the next 6 months. So I AM JUICING RS.105 FROM EACH RS.1050 IN MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT. A CLEAR RETURN OF 10%! I called the deposit a “SBI JIT UNIT FD”. The brightness on my wife’s face, who is a Cost Account by profession, said that I had done a wonderful job.

Each Unit of Rs.1050 in my account is going to deliver me 10% with the all the flexibility of Savings Account as I can make the UNITS in seconds and later break them in seconds. Now to the advocates of Sweep Account, I challenge, “SBI JIT UNIT FD” beats the Sweep Account in terms of return and function. I will post a comparison of both @ “jitfactor” in a while.

Note1: If SBI revises it’s interest rate the GAME will crumble and we need to get a new Magical Value for P. Return to my posts / Facebook community to know the same.

NOTE2: If SBI revise their policy/system, it will make the GAME a far lesser game. Till then….

Every morning I wake hearing the rattle of 10 messages, each bringing 2 Rs. into my Account. I have 70 evenly placed “SBI JIT UNIT FD” in my Account!
